EUROCOMMERCE POLICY TALKS with EVP Frans Timmermans | The Green Deal at the core of EU Recovery

The European Commission has proposed that by 2050, Europe should become the first climate neutral continent and have achieved the Paris Agreement commitment to keep global temperature rises within 1.5°C.

Reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions needs action in all areas of the economy. Increased energy efficiency, clean mobility and persuading our trading partners to adopt stricter sustainability criteria will be key drivers in achieving these ambitious goals.

Some 37% of the funding under the Next Generation EU recovery programme will be allocated to the EU Green Deal, and we are looking forward to hearing from EVP Timmermans on how the Commission intends to take the Green Agenda forward on all these fronts.
